Under the Barpeta Municipal Board, there is provision of disposing off both claimed as well as unclaimed dead bodies. For this , the Board has, in its, capacity, two funeral vans which caters to the responsibility of carrying the deceased bodies from various places like hospitals, morgues, etc. and disposing them off to the respective cremation or burial site after all necessary formalities.
